hi, I'm theresa.

I am so thankful you’re here. Finding a therapist that is the best fit for you can be intimidating and overwhelming! I hope that this is the final stop in your search.

I specialize in helping the stressed-out, self-doubting woman to feel confident in who she is and capable to navigate through life without anxiety or fear. My hope is that you will experience what its like to live without chaos, and to know and believe that you are worthy. I love to see the transformation of women as they begin to walk in their God-given worth and confidence!

I also specialize in helping married couples who are stuck, frustrated, or feeling hopeless in their marriages to feel passionate in their marriage and in love with their spouse again! I love to see unity rebuilt as couples fall back in love again.

I approach therapy through a strengths-based perspective and the implementation of the Gottman method. Through a combination of clinical expertise, professional and personal background, as well as a faith based approach (if desired!) we will work together on meeting your therapeutic goals.

I want to walk alongside you, reminding you that you are seen and loved, as you go through counseling. It can be a difficult journey, but the healing at the end is oh-so worth it. No matter where you are, remember to give yourself grace. And if you need someone to come beside you, I would be honored to be that person.

Personal

Where to begin?!

My dog, JJ, occasionally makes an appearance if you are doing telehealth sessions. He sleeps a ton and you will probably hear him snore!

I love plants and the beauty that comes through the process of growth.

I have a beautiful daughter and an amazing husband.

My faith as a Christian is an integral part of my life, but it is never something I will force upon my clients! It can be incorporated as much or as little as you are comfortable.

I have a deep passion for DIY projects! I love creating new, beautiful spaces in my home.

ABOUT ME

clinical

I always focus on the strengths of the clients I work with. Every person has immeasurable value and worth and as that self-discovery and empowerment takes place, healing occurs.

I believe our mind, body, and spirit are all integral to incorporate in healing.

I utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions including CBT, narrative therapy, Gottman, strengths-based perspective, and holistic approach, to name a few.

I am constantly striving to learn more and be the best therapist I can be for my clients.

about the name

Well, you already know I love plants-and especially flowers. I also love and deeply admire the process of growing before there is the reward of a beautiful flower. The process of growth for a plant can be slow, challenging as they battle elements, have to push their way through soil, and occasionally depend on others for their survival. The journey in counseling can be similar. It can take time, patience, and the support of others around you to help you along the way. BUT, at the end of it all, there is a great and beautiful reward. For nature, the reward is to be in bloom, and for you, it is to be healed and whole, to know that you are loved and worthy and embody great strength.

And throughout our time together, I will frequently remind you to give yourself an abundance of grace. This growing and healing won’t happen overnight and you will have to work hard. So in moments of self-doubt or weariness, you will overcome by choosing to be gentle and kind to yourself in this process. So as you bloom, as you grow, and as you heal, you must learn to give yourself grace. And that, my friend, is a beautiful thing.
